why we do this?
Skate is a culture. A mindset. It’s raw energy, expression, rebellion, and creativity all rolled into one. It brings people together, breaks down barriers, and builds something real — on the streets, at DIY spots, and in the middle of nowhere with a kicker and a crew.
This page exists to champion that. To highlight the events that move the needle, fuel the scene, and keep the community tight. Whether it’s a massive comp or a crusty curb session, if it matters to skaters, it matters to us.
Major Skateboarding Events
Our skateboarding calendar is packed with moments that define the culture. These events are more than just contests — they shape the future of skateboarding.
X Games – An iconic series where elite skaters push the limits in street, park, and vert. It’s helped bring skateboarding to a global stage without losing its edge.
Street League Skateboarding (SLS) – Founded by Rob Dyrdek, this series pits the best street skaters against each other in raw, high-stakes battles. The road leads to the Super Crown — and only the hardest make it.
World Skateboarding Championship – A yearly global showdown, blending park and street disciplines. It’s where countries send their top talent and underground legends rise to the occasion.
Damn Am Series – A proving ground for the next generation. These contests spotlight hungry amateurs looking to make their mark and get noticed.
Vans Park Series – Pure bowl energy. This international series is a celebration of park terrain, flow, creativity, and the skaters who go all in.
Community & Charity Events
Beyond the big names, the real lifeblood of skateboarding is in local scenes, community sessions, and events that give back. These are the kinds of gatherings we love to support and promote.
Skate-A-Thons & Fundraisers – Events where skating meets purpose. Crews come together to raise funds, build parks, and support causes through what they do best — skate.
Group Sessions & Local Jams – Informal. Unfiltered. Real. These meetups keep the culture alive. Skaters link up, trade tricks, rep their style, and build stronger local networks.
